PAK ECONOMIC WELFARE OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE (SHAHBAZ SHAREEF AND CHINESE PREMIER LI)

There has been an increase in terrorist attacks in Pakistan, which are thought to have been organized and led by the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leaders headquartered in Afghanistan. The TTP, which shares ideological ties with the Afghan Taliban, committed out about 100 attacks in previous years, the majority of which occurred after August, when the group's peace negotiations with the Pakistani government started to splutter. The TTP expressly threatened the PPP and the PML-N during a press conference in Islamabad for "officially stating war against the TTP to accommodate America."

Rana Sanaullah the minister of interior for Pakistan, expressed that the NSC had solidly concluded that "no discussions with any terrorist or militant association" would happen. He added that the NSC had verified that talks with the Afghan government ought to be held if fundamental so the significance of the Doha agreement, in which the country had committed to keep its dirt from being utilized against others, could be accentuated. Assuming that occurs, the terrorist issue in Pakistan and different countries would be settled, and Pakistan will be protected assuming Afghanistan stays true to its promises and commitments.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said in a report today that even though growth in 2022 is hoped to have reached 6.0%, the economy of Pakistan is predicted to slow to 3.5% in fiscal year 2023 (ending 30 June 2023) due to devastating floods, tightening of policy, and decisive efforts to address considerable fiscal and external imbalances.

With all of these factors taken into account, trade between nations is necessary for the prosperity or bright future of Pakistan as well as for the other nation. To that end, the prime minister of Pakistan called the premier Li of China to wish them a happy new year and to ensure the stability of all ongoing activities and projects in both nations. According to the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership's customs, the two leaders' conversation was marked by "warmth and cordiality."

During their phone call, they talked about regional issues of shared interest. The PM "underlined Pakistan's commitment to building deeper relations with China, and restated Pakistan's unstinting support on China's basic interests," according to the press release. During their discussion, the prime minister brought up the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and emphasized Pakistan's unwavering commitment to the timely completion of CPEC projects. Further The Pakistani prime minister told his Chinese colleague that Pakistan will offer Chinese businessmen a perfectly secure and favorable business environment.

In the wake of Pakistan's disastrous monsoon floods, PM Shahbaz also updated Premier Li on the most recent developments in post-flood reconstruction and rehabilitation. The prime minister expressed Pakistan's deep appreciation to China for its quick and generous assistance to those impacted by the floods. While Premier Li gave the Prime Minister reassurance that China would continue to assist Pakistan's rebuilding efforts and the Conference's success.

In order to advance the bilateral cooperation agenda for the shared benefit of the citizens of Pakistan and China in 2023 and beyond, both presidents committed to keep in regular contact and try to keep a relation close.
