The School Education Department says that the entire situation regarding extending the holidays was reviewed after which it was decided not to extend the holidays.

Even earlier, the winter vacations for the educational institutions of Punjab were extended due to cold weather. Schools and colleges in Punjab got extra winter vacations. In the announcement issued by the School Education Department Punjab, it was said that after the winter vacation, all public and private educational institutions will open from January 9.

According to the statement issued, winter vacation in all government and non-government educational institutions in Punjab province will be from 24 December 2022 to 8 January 2023, after which all government and private educational institutions will open from Monday 9 January 2023.

Parents worried about school opening in severe winter in kpk

Remember that, despite severe cold in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, public schools have been opened after the holidays on January 2, but private schools were still closed.

However, while opening the schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, their working hours have been delayed by one hour.

On the other hand, private schools operating in the province have extended their holidays, but according to the Education Department, the private institutions operating under the government have also opened from Monday January 2.

So, they canceled the notification and had to open unwillingly.

Worried about this situation, parents say that changing the time does not make much difference because the classrooms become cold rooms where children sit all day and get sick.
