SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES ARE OPENING IN SPITE OF DRASTIC COLD WEATHER IN PUNJAB AND KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA.
Punjab Education Minister Dr. Murad Raas while reacting to the demand for more winter vacations in educational institutions said that why do parents, teachers and students want more winter vacations? He added that we used to go to school in the same
season and never complained, “What's
the problem with the new generation of Pakistan, nobody wants to do anything,
especially a study.”
The
School Education Department has completed the consultation on the issue of
holidays. The final decision was made not to extend the winter vacations. The
School Education Department says that it is not right to extend the vacations
in schools due to children's exams.
Educational institutions will open from January 9
Last
day, the news came out that after the increase in the severity of winter in
Punjab, there is a possibility of extending one more week of vacations in
schools, the vacations will be extended from January 9 to January 15.
The
decision to extend the vacation by one week will be taken on the strong demand
of the parents. Previously, vacations were given in schools only till January
8. However, the demand of the parents to extend the vacation by one
more week came from the school education department.
The
School Education Department says that the entire situation regarding extending
the holidays was reviewed after which it was decided not to extend the
holidays.
Even
earlier, the winter vacations for the educational institutions of Punjab were
extended due to cold weather. Schools and colleges in Punjab got extra winter
vacations. In the announcement issued by the School Education Department
Punjab, it was said that after the winter vacation, all public and private
educational institutions will open from January 9.
According to the statement issued, winter vacation in all government and non-government educational institutions in Punjab province will be from 24 December 2022 to 8 January 2023, after which all government and private educational institutions will open from Monday 9 January 2023.
Parents worried about school opening in severe winter in kpk
Remember that, despite severe cold in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, public schools have been opened after the holidays on January 2, but private schools were still closed.
However,
while opening the schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, their working hours have been delayed
by one hour.
On
the other hand, private schools operating in the province have extended their
holidays, but according to the Education Department, the private institutions
operating under the government have also opened from Monday January 2.
So,
they canceled the notification and had to open unwillingly.
Worried
about this situation, parents say that changing the time does not make much
difference because the classrooms become cold rooms where children sit all day
and get sick.
